Odessa Archeological Museum is one of the oldest in Ukraine, was founded in 1825. Museum has more than 160,000 of exhibits, here are collected rare sources on the history of North Black Sea littoral. You can see collections of monuments of Ancient Egypt, Ancient Greece and Rome, antic sculpture. In museum are presented rare precious metal coins, which were made in Ancient Greece, Rome and Byzantium. Collection of Egyptian antiquities will impress even an experienced tourist: stone and wood sarcophagi, funeral inventory, papyrus with hieroglyphs and plenty of other interesting exhibits.
