Beef tongue Odessa-style


Ingredients:

Beef tongue - 1 piece

Onion - 200 g.

Parsley root - 1piece

Black pepper - 10 peas

Bay leaf - 2 pieces

Flour -1 tablespoon

2 eggs

Dried and finely ground bread-crumbs - 2 tablespoons

Melted lard- 2 tablespoons

Salt - to taste

Boil the beef tongue with parsley root, onion and black pepper. Peel it and cut it into thin slices, roll it in flour, in mixed egg, then in breadcrumbs. Fry it in the melted lard, put it in a dish and cool it down. Serve the tongue with canned green peas, pureed spinach, boiled and chopped beetroots. Bon Appetit!
