Ingredients:
- Beef - 250 g
- Pork - 250 g
- 1-2 carrots
- 2 onions
- Rice - 200 g
- Salt - to taste
- Ground black pepper - to taste
- Pickled cabbage leaves - 500 g
- 1-2 tomatoes
- Tomato paste - 50-100 g
Washe pickled
cabbage leaves. Cut large leaves into 2-4 parts, according to the size of cabbage
rolls you want. Wash meat, cut it into pieces and mince. Peel and wash onions
and carrots. Cut onions into cubes, grate carrots. Sauté them in a small amount
of hot oil. Wash rice and put it in saucepan with water and boil it for 1-2
hours. Then mix rice, onion, carrot and minced meat. Season it with salt to
taste. Stir it thoroughly. Make cabbage rolls: put the stuffing on the upper
third of the leaf of cabbage, turn the
flanks inside and roll it up tightly. Place the cabbage rolls in the kettle or
deep frying pan with hot oil. Rinse tomatoes with boiling water, peel them, cut
them into small pieces, add them to the stuffed cabbage. Cut onions into cubes
and add them to the same cauldron with stuffed cabbage. Pour tomato paste
diluted with water over so as to cover cabbage rolls. Add salt and pepper to
taste. Bring to the boil and reduce heat. Boil for 40 minutes with the lid
tightly closed.
