Katya Chilly in Odessa!

11-th April the star of Ukrainian alternative music Katya Chilly Group gave a performance at the Odessa Philarmonic Theater.

Katya Chilly got widely known in the second half of 1990-ies after winning the competition "Chervona Ruta". Fascinated by folklore, the girl created an unusual song with authentic Ukrainian texts in a modern arrangement. Recently singer has performed on the stage of the project "Golos Krainy"( "The Voice of the country").

"I came with the intention to support the life that grows through asphalt. I went out to sing. I decided to sing, to talk less. At the level of words, there can be errors. At the image-level there may be errors. Because in the big stream of people and at high speeds it is easy to dissolve. My most reliable tool is the voice. So I decided just to sing. As much as possible, using every possibility. There is something that can only be conveyed through a sensation."

In a creative treasury of the singer there are five released albums and more than forty solo shows in the UK. Her music is regularly broadcast on radio and BBC television in Ukraine.

Today Katya Chilli gathered around her talented musicians, masters of improvisation, including well-known jazz musicians, virtuosos of the classical school, the researchers of folk traditions and powerful sound of living fractals. Together they have formed Katya Chilly Group.
